BCAA or protein: what should you choose for muscle growth?
When I was looking for a supplement to improve my performance in the gym, I noticed that everyone has different opinions about BCAAs and protein. Many recommend protein for sustained muscle growth, especially if your workouts are intense and for mass. However, I also learned that BCAAs are good for energy and recovery, especially if you work out frequently. I was attracted by the convenience of taking them before, during, and after training.
For muscle growth, of course, both are good, but in different ways. If the goal is to gain mass, protein will be the best, as it is a complete protein. But BCAA's help you recover faster and can support muscles during leaning. I combine the two by taking protein after workouts and BCAAs during intense sets to maintain strength.
